Continual improvement in people and organizations is what lights me up.

I spent 27 years designing continual improvements and rising to the level of CEO and managing partner at an architectural firm founded by my father. Here are some things I accomplished while there:

• Transformed a general practice architectural company into a prominent specialty niche practice in new markets and geographies.

• Doubled the firm’s revenues and quadrupled its profits.

• Built a top-notch leadership team.

• Rebranded the firm.

• Developed an award-winning project management system.

• Orchestrated the firm’s successful transition and integration with a larger architectural competitor.

I offer consulting services to architectural, engineering, and construction firms, as well as Illinois Park Agencies.

For my A/E/C clients, I partner with them on succession planning, ownership transition, continual process improvement strategic planning, and growing emerging leaders.

For my Park Agency clients, I partner with them on strategic planning, board development, and growing emerging leaders.

I was recruited for numerous private and public board positions before being appointed as State Representative in the Illinois General Assembly.  During this time, my focus was on being a moderate problem solver and citizen legislator who represented the daily realities my constituents faced.  Having “been there,” my diplomacy and negotiation skills benefit my governmental clients in dealing with their customers.  I am now happily back serving my local community on the non-partisan park board.

I attended the Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business and completed master’s coursework at Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management.
